Ares has available a range of vision blocks for ground combat vehicles. These vision blocks allow for safe operation of the vehicle while under armor. Ares offers these systems made from Acrylic or Glass, and can incorporate a range of laser filters and other systems to suit any use case.
As digitization of ground vehicles becomes increasingly important, Ares has recognized the importance of providing digital data in an intuitive format for the soldier. While in vehicle screens are becoming more prevalent, driving purely from screens can bring challenges due to latency issues. Packaging new screens into existing vehicles can be challenging due to size and power requirements.
To solve these issues, Ares has developed a digitized vision block, which includes an integral LCD display, and an optional camera system. With our patented vision block system, Ares can choose to provide a standard optical view, a complete digital view (camera system), or provide an optical view while overlaying digital information. This third Augmented Reality view, allows for things like object detection highlighting, route planning/display or heads-up-display type views.
Ares system can utilize existing vehicle vision systems, or integrated sensor suites as required.
